About Me
Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, I have always had a strong passion of connecting with one another and creating a sense of community wherever I go. While in high school I served two years as the philanthropy chair on the student board, teaming up with the Libertyville Township Food Pantry and organizations such as the Y-noT Project and NAMI . During my last two years I served as student council president, which ultimately prepared me for the responsibilities of leadership roles in the future as well as peaked my interest in developing more effective communication skills.

Early on in school I realized I valued the opportunities that revolved around a sense of community and a deeper understanding of one another as not just students, but the person inside too. Throughout my four years I was nominated as a Link Crew Leader for underclassman as well as a member of Best Buddies.
In 2019 I graduated from Libertyville High School as a recognized National Honors Society and DAR recipient, and felt ready to attend a university that best suited my needs as a student as well as challenge me along the way.
So it only made since to pack up and move to Colorado to attend the University of Denver, and test the waters of a new city and starting my own community.

While at DU, I have taken various classes ranging from liberal arts, social sciences, music, and gender/women studies. Going into college with the intent to obtain a degree solely on the fact that it is interesting and meaningful to me, I will be receiving my BA in Communications with minors in Sociology and Writing Practices.
It was from these personal yet reflective courses that exposed me to the uncomfortable but necessary conversations that schools no longer touch on; the role intersectionality plays in our society, and how we as a whole, are losing our compassion for one another.

As a college student at a predominately white, affluent, historically racist university, I am searching for new ways to utilize my passion of interpersonal relationships and empathy in everything I do.
On top of my exploration of this topic academically, I have found that my 200 RYS (Registered Yoga School) certification has exposed me to the true servitude of yoga and yogic tradition, and am constantly finding connections from my academic teachings to that of my Vedic.

After graduating from the University of Denver in June 2023, I am moving back home to Chicago to teach Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga at Forever Om Yoga as well as continue my job search within the communication and public relations realm.
