Writing Theory
This section of my portfolio serves as a testament to my growth and versatility as a writer. Throughout my four years I have taken various different writing courses; whether that be more research and analytical or more journalistic and creative. These courses have equipped me with a robust toolkit of writing theories that have not only enhanced my ability to craft well-structured and engaging pieces but have also broadened my perspectives on the power of language.
Course: WRIT 2000 - Theories of Writing

I describe this course and the outcomes in this section of portfolio titled 'WRIT 2000', where you can find another piece of mine that differs dramatically but showcases the diverse curriculum and expectations within my time understanding the different theories.

This piece titled 'RWP', is the finally product of an extensive dive into creativity amongst different college majors. With little guidelines, we were instructed to pick a topic relevant to students and spend upwards of 15 hours researching and piecing it all together.
Course: WRIT 3500 - Writing Design and Circulation

I describe this course and the outcomes in this section of portfolio titled WRIT 3500, where I go more in depth about the course as well as the revision assignment.

This assignment asked us to revise a previously submitted work from any course and to turn into a piece for a different genre, without changing too much. I found this assignment to be difficult as I get attached to some of my work and can't always see 'outside the lines'. The revised and final piece is to the right, and below in 'Original' is the initial paper (from my Listening in Culture class abroad) I was reconstructing. Enjoy.
